CONVERSATIONAL skills are what most clients want from their language classes. So by specifically tailoring our sessions to business issues, we involve students in topics they know and care about. As a result, clients quickly lose their inhibitions and enjoy the interactive environment we provide.

CROSS-CULTURAL ISSUES are very much part of business language vernacular. At Connaught, we help those who must work abroad learn more about day-to-day life: which newspapers to read, what's on the political scene, where to shop for corporate gifts, and how other cultures spend their leisure time.

MARKETING TERMS and the way promotional materials are developed vary dramatically from region to region. In the Americas, business literature can be quite informal. In Western Europe, it is more reserved. We can adapt existing materials, or write new copy. Alternatively, we will coach your own communications teams on marketing to overseas audiences.

WRITING FOR BUSINESS needn't be dull, but it has to be accurate. And in the financial services industry it must, by law, be 'clear, fair and not misleading'. However, we believe that even the most serious material should sparkle with life and fluency. So you need a writer who will take the time to understand the issues, and then craft a text with precision and style.
